Beating Your Face: Key to a great makeup look!

Hey guys!

Today I am going to talk about tips and tricks on how to get a successful makeup look. By no means am I saying that I am a professional makeup artist,  these are just some things that help me when I do my makeup and maybe can help you as well!

If you’ve ever heard someone tell you or another “Girl, your face is so beat! “, they are telling you that your makeup is amazing, which means it is blended out, your highlight is brighter than the sun, your contour is killer, and your eyebrows are fleeky! But to reach this level you need to know the steps so here are some that have helped me out!

Tip 1: Prime/ Moisturize your face!

 

 

 

 

Priming or Moisturizing your face will help keep your face makeup, such as foundation and so on, stay on your face. You can either use a primer or a face lotion. I use the M.A.C Prep+Prime as shown in the picture above.

 

Tip 2: Some things to know about Concealers

When you are using concealer on your face there are two purpose. One is to conceal unwanted blemishes and the other is to highlight areas like your under eyes, bridge of your nose, you fore head and chin. When highlighting your face with concealer make sure the concealer is a shade or two lighter that your actual skin. After your done with your councilor make sure you bake your face. Baking your face is basically using loose translucent powder so your face doesn’t look oily and your concealer doesn’t crease during the day, especially your under eyes! You should let your face bake for 5 minutes at the least then you can brush the loose powder off.

 

Tip 3: Put color back to your face!

After doing your face makeup you need to put color back to your face. Contouring will bring your makeup together and allows you to shape your face the way you would like it. My favorite thing to do is highlighting my face which is when you put a highlighter on your cheekbones, tip of nose, and your cupids bow. Highlighting just makes you look like your glowing, to get the best results I recommend using a fan brush.

Tip 4: Eyes

The key to getting great eye makeup is blending and patience, if you rush it it will come out as a mess! Also make sure you are using the right brushes for blending, packing on, and so on. To bring everything together if your going out or just for fun is using false lashes. I love the Huda Beauty false lashes!

Tip 5: Lips

When picking a lip color base it on your eye makeup. If you have a harsh eye don’t use a dark lip color but if you have a soft eye look you can basically use any lip color!
